A warm sunset in a cold place is a view of a mountain chain with a sunset behind it. My inspiration for a warm sunset in a cold place was to make an ironic view of a deceiving temperature in a place. My favorite part of the art project was to blend and shade the colors.
Between Two Trees is one of my most favorite projects I have done to date. I tried to express my inspiration throughout the entire piece. My inspiration came from the beauty of nature and the details in simple things we take for granite every day. Between Two Trees was completely finger painted, not a single brush was used. The texture for the tree bark was accomplished using dry paint blobs and painted over with different values of brown.
At World's Edge was my fastest artwork I have done. It had taken about two days to complete. I started with the horizon, then used gravity to shape the trees. I used a sponge for the surrounding area. I then flicked paint on the paper with a brush. My inspiration was the different ways life can be seen. The two ways of life I focused on were bright and happy, then dark and gloomy.
Overgrown beauty is by far my favorite acrylic painting I have made. The only tool I used to paint this was a palette knife. It had taken me about a week and a half to finish it and make it look nice. I took inspiration from an old animated movie that had taken place in a deep a dense jungle environment. The thing that I loved about this is that I used shading to make shapes appear.
